Apple Experiment

This video shows how the teacher interacts directly with the students in a hands-on experiment on apples. This experiment gives the students the opportunity to share their ideas on what they think is going to happen during the experiment. Do you think that students gain more from lessons such as this one shown in the video? Do you think that hands-on experiments should be used more in the classroom?

  1. I think that hands on experiments are very important. Some people would think that using hands on experiments with special needs students could cause more behavior problems, but I have found that in most cases it really engages these students who are often less likely to become engaged.
